Off to Summer Camp

Alex and Henry (and 50 of their closest friends) head off to Eberly
Scout Reservation for their week long Boy Scout Camp today.

Enjoying the Weather

We took a walk in Chestertown after watching the latest Harry Potter
movie - lovely weather.

Late Lunch on the Chesapeake

Here are Cheryl, Henry and Alex on the boat as we returned to the
River House after a late lunch in Rock Hall, MD.

The kids, David and Grandad took canoes down the Brandywine River. It was great fun - Charley won the prize for most enthusiastic paddler

Back to the Future

Charley made a Time Capsule with Grandad - with an inevitable
Spongebob theme. I wonder who will dig it up first...

The Wanderer Returns

Alex returned from his cycling trip, having also spent July 4th in
Washington. He had a great time, having completed the whole 184.5 mile
trip with only 1 'incident'. They apparently had a bit of a bicycle
pile-up after one of the leaders fell off at the front of their group
- no significant injuries though fortunately.

Here he is with some of the other Troop 50 boys unloading the trailer
on their return.

With only a few minor injuries...

... the whole crew made it to DC.

Alex Completes the C&O Canal Ride

Here's Alex after cycling the 184.5 miles of the C&O Canal. Now him
and the rest of his crew have a slightly more relaxing 2 days in
Washington to take in the sites and attractions.
