Charley starts Cub Scout camp

Charley was dropped off this morning for a week of Cub Scout Day
camp. The weather promises to be hot - but they have lots of fun
planned. Hopefully he'll enjoy it. We'll learn more when he gets
picked up.

The whole crew

Here is the whole crew just before setting off for their C&O cycling
trip.

Alex leaves on his High Adventure trip

It's early Sunday morning and Alex is setting off on his cycling trip.
He will be cycling the C&O canal, ending up in DC on Thursday. He will
then spend Friday and Saturday in DC, culminating in watching the July
4th fireworks. Let's hope he is ready!

Community Service

Alex and Henry spent the evening tidying the Mount Zion Cemetery in
North Wilmington. Perhaps its most famous inhabitant is the Legendary
Jazz Musician Clifford Brown. Henry's friend Nicholas (visiting from Brazil) joined them as he was a member of Troop 50 prior to leaving for Brazil last summer.

They worked with Troop 50 Boy Scouts to mow, trim and generally make
the cemetery look neat and tidy.

Fun on the Jetski

In between the rain, we did manage to get out on the Jetski at the weekend. 58mph with Hannah and Charley on-board - and they loved every second!

Finally the Sun!

We are down at the river house and after torrential rain, the sun is
finally making an appearance.

Just off to take the kids for an ice cream, then the jetski is calling
us...

This is the start of a blog about our summer

The kids are now out of school. We have relatives from England on the way in July and August. We are planning on having fun on the boat and the new jetski.

The kids have a variety of camps organized - including Alex and Henry going off to Boy Scout camp for a week. Alex will also be cycling the C&O Canal, arriving in Washington, DC on July 3rd, just in time for the fireworks on July 4th - apparently that's some big American Holiday!

Look out for more posts of our activities....
